Jyoti U. Devkota, PhD

I have completed PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) from Department of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, University of Osnabrueck, Germany. I was supported by DAAD Fellowship. I have a Bachelors Honours and Masters in Mathematical Statistics degree from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, India.

I have taught various courses of  Mathematics and Statistics at the undergraduate and graduate university  levels. I have visited China, Portugal, Canada and Germany as a visiting scholar. I have presented my research papers in Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, India, Canada, Thailand, Sweden, Korea, China, Brazil, Mexico, Italy and Turkey.

My research interests are in the interdisciplinary applications of Statistics and Mathematics to problems from Energy, Environment and Health. Here I concentrate on evidence and data based  studies, with a special focus on the development and application of statistical methods to various problems.
